While looking for Mary Oliver's poem "Wild Geese" I found your amazing website. In my work I use a great deal of transformational poetry with my clients. Your site will be a permanent bookmark for me in searching for resources. Thank you again for this fine site you share with us all.
I visited your web page and found it very creative. I am just beginning to do consultation using the Enneagram in the work place. You have a lot of useful information. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I've been enjoying your website, discovered tonight, and also had the opportunity to come to your workshop in Canada. I'm a therapist, but never learned the Myers-Briggs well enough to make use of it. Your exploration of the INTJ was interesting, especially the part about the sensing helping one to be present and the intuition resisting this. It struck me because my MBTI type is INTP and my midlife change has certainly included learning to be present in the moment. I'll continue to follow your site.
I've just spent an hour exploring your site. WOW! You managed to get an encyclopedia of wisdom in a form which is not only easy to read, but aesthetically pleasing, artistically, spiritually and intellectually balanced. It is the first Enneagram-based site that I believe I can refer physicians to without risking that they will be turned off immediately.
The success of the system in the workplace depends on people like yourself who can take the nine personality types and combine them with existing material on change, leadership development, etc. and teach it all with good workshop design.
I want to thank you for an enlightening web site. I am a student at the Leadership Institute of Seattle and am planning to give an experiential workshop on the Enneagram next month. I was looking for a web site to recommend to my fellow students that would best make the Enneagram applicable to their varied lives. Your site offered all I needed.
What a wonderful, informative, intelligent web site! Thank you. I previously believed I was a One with a Nine Wing and now know that I am a Nine with a One Wing. What a revelation! The missing pieces of my life puzzle have now fallen into place.
Your site is excellent... I am still finding new corners and offshoots.
Wonderful site - thank you for all your effort. I have just completed a workshop on the Enneagram in Brisbane Australia. Great - keep up the world-changing work.
I visited your web site about a month ago and learned a lot from it. I understood the whole 15 years of my working career... The more typing and psychology I study the more I respect the Bhagvad Gita... One does not have right over results but only over action... Thus if we move away from each of the fixations we attain the state where our actions do not cause discomfort. In the terminology of Hinduism, actions will not get attached to our souls... May God give you the happiness that we all seek in this world.
Your site is very well laid out, informational, and interesting... especially the inclusion of stories and experiences and such both from you and from others. Insight always helps out facts.
I was delighted finding your vast offer of information (about) the Enneagram on the net... I like your practical focus, and then the poems, wow. Great. I'm Austrian, living in Madrid.
You don't know me, but I think Bill Stafford would have appreciated the comments on your web site. Bill was my uncle, and we used to visit and talk when he was reading in Kansas, or I would go out to Oregon to visit the family.
Thank you so much for your prompt and generous reply! Although it was not exactly the kind of poem analysis of Dylan Thomas' Fern Hill that I had in mind when I wrote to you, you have given me a great deal of insight not only into the poem but into myself as well. I will visit all the sites you cited (sorry, I couldn't resist that) and I am sure that I will learn more.
Mary, thank you for Jake's Development Plan--it is amazingly serendipitous. Your insight has helped me improve my interactions with others, sensing when I am being too vague or blunt, distant or analytical. And to everyone's delight, I no longer mistake rudeness for accuracy.
I have seriously considered your message to me about the Four. I must tell you that you made a detailed description of myself and the harsh situation I have been enduring since I can remember. I imagined that only someone who has known me for a long time could have done it in such an accurate way. The Enneagram typing is powerful and quite accurate, more than I could think was possible.
This is a fantastic web place!! Thank you for making the Enneagram real, and a true tool for understanding self and others. The poetry is a wonderful idea. I imagine that it is possible to learn about the Enneagram through literature as well. Wonderful artwork. The site is a resort, a library filled with great information.
I'd just like to comment on your case study for the Eight. It's spot on and I even found myself laughing out loud at the screen reading it!
I just spent the last half hour reading your website. I enjoyed your description of the Six - it certainly reminds me of how I perceived and was perceived in the workplace.
I just went to your metaphor page. It's wonderful! You're playing my song. As a Seven storyteller / reframer / chronic "watch my tongue or I'm conning someone," I appreciate metaphors as the perfect means to reframe. The Enneagram helps us pick out the correct metaphor (if we have a poetic sense).
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I'm a college professor and will be assigning your site this Fall semester to students taking "Supervision and Administration."
Thanks so much for all your good research. I'll get the book you mentioned and have printed the material you sent. I've also passed your web site location to a new friend who's interested in publishing about transformational learning. Thanks bunches for your support!
I just wanted to say thank you. I was feeling really desperate to understand myself, and the information on your web site has given me a new sense of hope.
I wish I could be in a team building session like the one you described in your article. It sounds like the people you describe experienced their fellow team members as persons rather than functions and thereby experienced a different kind of power. I thought your article did a masterful job in showing the inner personal dynamics that influence how people interact in the work environment. I thank you for the effort you gave in sharing it with the rest of us.
Thanks for your very resource-rich web site. I was introduced to the Enneagram by a colleague several years ago, and have enjoyed learning more. Resources like your site really help.
