Family Business Assessment Inventory
(From Friedman & Friedman, How to Run a Family Business)

For each statement, circle the number that most nearly describes how strongly you agree or disagree:

Have each family member complete the assessment, then average all the scores for each scale. The score on each scale can be between 0 and 15. A score below 5 on any scale indicates perceived difficulty in that area. Scores between 6 and 10 indicate perceived strain in that area. Scores over 11 indicate perceptions that your family business is doing very well in that area.
